South Asia
Healthcare Access:
Limited healthcare access remains a significant concern. While organizations like Muslim Aid are making strides with mobile health units, more permanent healthcare infrastructure is urgently needed to address the needs of underserved populations.
What we do in South Asia?
Supporting Communities in Interior Sindh
The Voices of Resilience (TVR) has been passionately committed to supporting communities in Interior Sindh, particularly near Mirpur Khas, since 2022. TVR works alongside local, compassionate families to deliver vital aid to those in need, ensuring inclusivity and offering assistance regardless of race, color, caste, or religion. Through these partnerships, TVR is helping to improve living conditions and address the critical needs of vulnerable populations in the region.
Living Conditions
Economic Vulnerability:
Around 30% of the rural population in Sindh, including areas near Mirpur Khas, faces acute food insecurity, with many households struggling to meet basic nutritional needs. The population is largely reliant on farming and daily wage labor, both of which are vulnerable to economic and environmental challenges.
Environmental Challenges:
Waterlogging and salinity, worsened by infrastructure projects like the Left Bank Outfall Drain (LBOD), severely affect agriculture in the region. These conditions result in reduced crop yields, further deepening the economic instability of many households.
Addressing Critical Needs
TVR remains dedicated to addressing the needs of these communities and is focused on:
- Economic Diversification:Â Promoting alternative livelihoods and skills development to increase economic resilience.
- Infrastructure Development:Â Advocating for improvements in water management and transportation systems to alleviate environmental challenges and improve access to essential services.
- Healthcare Expansion:Â Expanding access to both mobile and permanent healthcare facilities to meet the growing medical needs of the community.
- Educational Opportunities:Â Investing in education for orphaned children and widows to break the cycle of poverty and empower individuals to build a brighter future.
Since 2022, TVR has continued to make a meaningful impact, working alongside communities to foster hope, build resilience, and create sustainable change. Together, we are committed to improving lives and empowering those in need to overcome adversity.
Supporting Orphans in South Asia
Pakistan faces immense challenges in addressing the needs of its 4.2 million orphaned children, as reported by UNICEF. Widespread poverty and limited access to basic necessities such as food, shelter, healthcare, and education further deepen their vulnerabilities. Factors like unemployment, inadequate resources, and fragile social support systems perpetuate this cycle, leaving millions of children at risk of exploitation, malnutrition, and emotional trauma.
The Need
Orphaned children in Pakistan often experience severe hardships, including:
- Lack of access to education and employable skills.
- Inadequate healthcare, leading to poor physical and mental well-being.
- Insufficient safe housing and emotional support.
- Limited social advocacy to protect their rights and ensure their well-being.
TVR’s Approach
The Voices of Resilience (TVR) is committed to addressing these challenges with a holistic, child-focused strategy. Partnering with the Blessed Orphan Centre, a recognized non-governmental organization, TVR works to implement impactful programs for orphaned children and impoverished families in Pakistan. Together, these organizations focus on key areas to create sustainable change:
- Education and Skill Development

- Facilitating access to essential healthcare, including vaccinations and mental health services.
- Implementing feeding programs and nutritional education to combat malnutrition.
- Safe Housing and Emotional Support
- Collaborating with the Blessed Orphan Centre and local shelters to ensure safe, nurturing environments.
- Offering counseling and mentorship to promote emotional well-being.
- Advocacy and Policy Engagement
- Engaging stakeholders to advocate for policies that safeguard orphans’ rights.
- Raising awareness to mobilize community support and resources.

Impact Goals
Through its collaboration with the Blessed Orphan Centre, TVR aims to:
- Meet the basic needs of orphaned children.
- Provide access to education and skill-building opportunities.
- Foster a sense of security, belonging, and emotional stability.
By working together, TVR and the Blessed Orphan Centre strive to break the cycle of poverty and create sustainable pathways for orphaned children to thrive. Their shared mission is to build a future where every child in Pakistan can lead a life of dignity, hope, and resilience.
